What can I do if my wall mounting strips failed or damaged the wall?Updated 3 hours ago
We're sorry to hear your mounting strips didn’t perform as expected.
Depending on the issue you experienced, here are two possible scenarios and what you can do:
1. The adhesive was too strong
If the strips were too sticky, removing the baseplates may have damaged your wall. If you’ve only removed one baseplate so far, we recommend taking extra care with the remaining ones. Gently and slowly pull them off with steady pressure. Any leftover adhesive on the wall or baseplate should come off more easily once removed. You can use warm air (e.g., a hairdryer) to soften any residue on the wall — but avoid applying heat directly to the baseplate or bricks.
Please email us at [email protected] with a few photos, and our team will be happy to assist you further.
2. The adhesive was too weak
If your baseplates fell off the wall, the adhesive may not have bonded properly. In this case, we recommend cleaning both the wall and the back of the baseplates thoroughly with rubbing alcohol (like isopropyl alcohol). Avoid household cleaners, as they often leave behind a residue that interferes with adhesive strength.
If your mosaic was damaged in the fall, please send us an email at [email protected] along with photos. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible with a solution.
